This downtown Washington, DC hotel offers guestrooms that vary in size and view. All accommodations feature signature bedding: Thick mattress, separate pillowtop, down duvet with white cover, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and a decorative throw and pillow sham. Most rooms have marble bathrooms, and all have bathroom telephone extensions, massaging showerheads, LATHER amenities, makeup/shaving mirrors, and bathrobes. Club-level rooms and one-bedroom suites offer upgraded amenities. Included are high-speed Internet access (surcharge; complimentary in club-level rooms) and multi-line phones with voice mail. TVs come with complimentary HBO, pay movies, and video games (surcharge). All rooms provide desks, upholstered chairs, and stocked minibars. Electronic check-out is available. For $5-$15, travelers can take the Washington Flyer coach to a Metro station and complete the trip by train (less than $5) exiting at Farragut North Metro station, two blocks from the hotel. Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI): Approximate driving time to the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel is 45 minutes and distance is 32 miles.
Getting there: Airport shuttles cost $36-$50. Depending on traffic, taxis cost $50-$100. A more economical choice—available weekdays only—is to take a MARC train. Take the Penn Line to Union Station for $5-$15. From there, take a taxi to the hotel for $5-$15. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Most people in downtown Washington choose to take taxis, use the Metro system, or walk, as driving and parking can be difficult. Passengers pay for the Metrorail via farecards available at self-serve machines, and must retain the farecards to exit; a single ride costs less than $5, One-day and multi-day passes are also available. The hotel is two blocks from Farragut North Metro station.
Taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive, compared to other large cities. Cars are most useful to reach the outer suburbs and can be rented online.

Renaissance Mayflower Hotel’s 24-hour fitness room provides a cardio training center with cardio theater, treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, and a yoga area with mats and other equipment.
A limited number of complimentary passes are available to the YMCA, three blocks away. Among the services are a six-lane indoor lap pool, spa tub, racquetball/squash courts, an indoor running track, and exercise classes (surcharges may apply).
Washington, DC's mile-long National Mall, seven blocks from the hotel, provides a tree-lined path for walking and running. Hains Point is less than three miles from the hotel, and offers an 18-hole course perched on the banks of the Potomac River. A two-tier driving range is offered here, as well as a miniature golf course that’s on the National Register for Historic Places.
Rock Creek Park, three miles from the hotel, is a 1,800-acre oasis with hiking and biking trails, a nature center/planetarium, and remnants of Civil War forts. Trail rides are available through the Rock Creek Park Horse Center. The park has 15 soft-surface and 10 hard-surface tennis courts; reservations are generally required.
