Room Descriptions
Cap Caraibes Resort in St Martin offers 35 suites in five pale-peach buildings of three stories (no elevators). Suites feature ground-floor patios or second-floor balconies with teak dining sets and cushioned teak lounge chairs. They contain kitchenettes with two-burner range tops, microwave ovens, compact refrigerators, toasters, coffeemakers, dishes, and glasses. Decor and furnishings include tile floors, yellow walls, green-tile kitchenette counters, tropical-print fabrics, and bamboo-rattan furniture. Tile bathrooms contain glass-door showers (no tubs). Smoking is permitted in all rooms. |

Driving directions from Princess Juliana International Airport: After departing airport, follow signs to Marigot (the island's French capital). Continue toward Grand Case and then veer right toward Orient Bay. Turn left at sign for The Residence of Orient Bay, turn left again at sign pointing to Orient Bay Village and follow signs to the resort.
Getting there: A taxi-van from the airport to the resort costs $26–$35 for one or two passengers and $4 for each additional passenger. (Rates are set by the government and subject to change.) Car rentals are available online.
Getting around: Resort staff call taxis at guests' requests.
Activities
Accessible by wooden pathways though dense beach foliage, Orient Bay Beach, a 2.4-km (1.5-mile) crescent of powdery sand on the Atlantic Ocean, is one of the island's principal windsurfing spots. The beach also includes a clothing-optional section a mile from the resort. Vendors along the beach offer a wide range of other watersports. Open-air restaurants are spaced along the beach, and one of the two nearest the resort provides complimentary lounge chairs to the resort's guests. Guests can also rent lounge chairs and umbrellas up and down the beach.
For freshwater swimming, the resort offers a 12-meter-long (40-foot-long), kidney-shaped pool screened by greenery and bordered by a narrow sundeck furnished with thickly cushioned lounge chairs.
