Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property except in the outdoor courtyard at the entryway. The hotel permits small pets (surcharge).

Room Descriptions
Guestrooms are a blend of old-world charm and modern convenience. All offer antique-style furnishings, Asian artwork, TVs in armoires, and high-speed Internet access (surcharge).
Each room features signature bedding: Thick mattress, separate pillowtop, down duvet with white cover, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and a decorative throw and pillow sham.
Marble bathrooms have oval sinks, heated towel racks, and makeup/shaving mirrors. Plush robes are thoughtful extras. Rooms are not air conditioned, but have windows that open.
A complimentary newspaper is delivered each weekday. In-room massage (surcharge) can be arranged through the concierge desk.
Upon check-in, guests can request Marriott’s Wired for Business service, with high-speed Internet access and unlimited local and domestic long-distance calls for a daily fee.

Walking is a wonderful way to explore San Francisco, and its steep hills provide a great workout—along with breathtaking views. A cable-car ride is a must for any visitor, and the hotel is adjacent to stops for three cable-car lines.
To save money and time, many visitors purchase a weekly Muni pass ($15, plus an additional $1 for each cable-car ride), a cable car all-day pass ($10), or a Muni Passport. The Passports are good for unlimited Muni rides, including cable cars. Fees are $11 for a 1-day Passport, $18 for 3 days, and $24 for 7 days.
Rental cars or limousine/touring vans are recommended for trips outside the city, including the Wine Country.
