Excellence Punta Cana dominates a 1.5-mile stretch of secluded white sand beach on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic. Driving directions from PUJ Airport: Head north towards Bavaro to Uvero Alto. Follow signs to the resort.
Activities
The hotel’s main swimming pool stretches along the oceanfront between secluded pavilions and palm trees, extending more than 800 feet. There is a well-equipped fitness center plus facilities for tennis, squash, basketball, racquetball, bocce ball, volleyball, table tennis, billiards, darts, horseshoes, lawn chess, croquet, shuffleboard, and archery. Equipment for snorkeling (surcharge), sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, fishing (surcharge), and kayaking is available, and scuba lessons are offered in the hotel's pool. Golfing is offered nearby (surcharge).
Nature enthusiasts may arrange bird watching excursions on the River Nisibon, or enjoy moonlit horseback rides along the beach (30 minutes included per guest).
