The resort offers 466 guestrooms in eight, three-story buildings (no elevators) and 28 one-story villas--all salmon-colored with red tile roofs. Balconies and patios have chairs and cocktail tables. Activities

The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).

Measuring approximately 76-by-76m (250-by-250-ft), a sprawling pool complex with artificial-rock edges, bridges, and grotto swim-up bar features swimming channels, a sports area, three elevated 12-person spa tubs, two 6-m (20-ft) water slides, and a sunbathing island. A 400-m (437-yd) beach fronts the hotel, and land access to the beach is restricted to resort guests.

The resort provides kayaks, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards. A scuba-diving center offers lessons and certification courses as well as diving and snorkeling excursions (surcharges for all). Motorized water sports are not available off the beach fronting the resort but are available in the towns of Sosúa, 5 km (3 mi) away, and Cabarete, 9 km (5.75 mi). Cabarete is an international windsurfing center. (The resort provides complimentary shuttle service to both towns.)

The resort features a wide variety of recreational facilities, including a 10-m (33-ft) climbing tower, a circus trapeze and trampoline (lessons provided), and a 15-by-10.5-m (50-by-35-ft) artificial-ice skating/hockey rink. Other facilities include a 9-hole pitch-and-put golf course, three lighted tennis courts, a lighted basketball court, and a soccer field. The nearest golf course, Campo de Golf, is 28 km (17.5 mi) away.
