Hotel Information: One mile from Walt Disney World® Resort, a private gated entry opens to this 1,500-acre Orlando golf resort with towering palms, colorful plants, and manicured lawns. A reception center houses an intimate lobby with an oversized fireplace and a bar serving complimentary cocktails, soft drinks, coffee, beer, and wine to arriving and departing guests.
Amenity highlights: The Villas of Grand Cypress has four Jack Nicklaus Signature Design courses: an 18-hole layout and three nine-hole courses. PGA-level instruction is available at the golf academy. Other recreation options include swimming, tennis, horseback riding, jogging, sailing, canoeing, pitch ‘n’ putt golf, and nature trails. The Club Bar and Grill, with views of the golf course, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Insider tip: Located on the resort’s grounds, the Grand Cypress Nature Area is a protected 45-acre cypress swamp. Along the swamp is the Audubon Walk, a mile-long boardwalk with signs pointing out the plants and wildlife. Frequently spotted animals include the Carolina wren, northern cardinal, great horned owl, downy woodpecker, pine warbler, nine-banded armadillo, and marsh rabbit.

The Villas are located at the Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, one mile from Walt Disney World® Resort and seven miles from the convention center. Panoramic golf-course views accompany dinner at the Nine18. The Clubhouse Bar and Grill is a popular post-golf gathering spot. The resort has 5,500 square feet of meeting space. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and guest villas.
The Villas share Cypress Resort with the Hyatt Regency, and guests enjoy use of the half-acre freeform pool, spa tubs, and children’s pools. Other amenities include a fitness center, supervised children’s activities, and beauty and massage services.
The Villas of Grand Cypress charges a daily resort fee of $15 per room (subject to change). The fee covers:

Room Descriptions
The Villas of Grand Cypress features 146 one- and two-story villas and club suites with Mediterranean decor. Villas and suites have separate living areas; French doors lead to furnished patios. Accommodations provide flat-panel HDTVs.
Conveniences include wet bars, minibars, wireless Internet access, and laptop-sized safes. Bathrooms feature separate tubs, glass-enclosed showers, granite-topped vanities, scales, phones, and bathrobes. Turndown service is provided.

- Take the north airport exit to SR528/Beeline Expwy (toll road) to I-4 W.
- Take Exit 68.
- Turn right onto SR535/S Apopka Vineland Rd.
- Turn left at second light. The resort is on the left.
Getting there: Taxi fare to The Villas of Grand Cypress is more than $36; shuttles are $16–$25. Car rentals are available online.
Getting around: Scheduled shuttles are available to Universal, Walt Disney World® Resort, and SeaWorld. Shuttles also provide service to the resort’s golf course, equestrian center, and Audubon Walk. For travel beyond the theme parks, a car is recommended.

Activities
Golf: Four Jack Nicklaus Signature Design courses include an 18-hole course and three par 36 nine-hole courses. PGA-level instruction is available at the 21-acre Grand Cypress Golf Academy, named one of the Top 25 Golf Schools by Golf Magazine. Golf carts are equipped with GPS technology that illustrates each hole, indicates yardage to the pin and key hazards, keeps score, and offers playing tips.
Tennis, horseback riding: The Grand Cypress Racquet Club has eight Har-Tru and four Deco Turf II tennis courts, daily clinics, and private and semi-private lessons with a tennis pro (surcharge). Horseback-riding lessons, dressage, jumping, and trail rides are available at the Grand Cypress Equestrian Center
Swimming, boating, jogging: A large freeform pool is paired with a spa tub. Jogging/walking paths and an Audubon Walk wind through the scenic grounds. Bikes can be rented. Villa guests enjoy access to the Hyatt’s half-acre freeform pool with 12 waterfalls, two waterslides, a children’s pool, spa tubs, and an expansive sundeck overlooking the white-sand beach and Lake Windsong; sailboats, paddleboats, and canoes are available for rent.
Children’s activities: Camp Hyatt provides supervised activities for children 5–12 (surcharge).

Hemingway’s - Set high atop the grotto overlooking the half-acre freeform pool at the Hyatt, this Key West–style restaurant specializes in fresh seafood. Dinner only.
Cascade Restaurant - A 35-foot bronze mermaid sculpture with waterfall is the focal point of the Hyatt’s Cascade Restaurant. Menu includes soups, salads, seafood, steak, and chicken. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Trellises - Tropical-themed lounge in the Hyatt lobby serves Starbucks coffee each morning and cocktails, wine, and beer later in the day. Open early to late morning, then late afternoon to late evening
On the Rocks - Tucked away under the grotto, this Hyatt poolside bar serves cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks, salads, and sandwiches. Open late morning to dusk.
