Hotel Information: Inspired by vintage New England yacht clubs, this lakeside resort has a lighthouse that welcomes arriving leisure travelers and families. Beamed-wood ceilings, wood floors, comfortable seating areas, nautical accents, and miniature ships on display grace the busy two-story lobby. Beyond French doors are lush, landscaped grounds and the resort’s dock on the 25-acre Crescent Lake.
Amenity highlights: Like its adjacent companion hotel, the centerpiece of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is Stormalong Bay, a three-acre lakeside water park with an outdoor pool, connecting bridges, water slides, spa tubs, two quiet pools, and a children’s pool as well as a white-sand beach. Child-friendly options include a playground, game arcade, and the Sandcastle Club, which offers supervised activities. Boat rentals are available at the resort marina, which is shared with Disney’s Beach Club Resort next door.
Insider tip: Next door to the resort is the Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, where Disney characters join guests for breakfast every morning at Goofy’s Beach Club Bash.
Property Amenities
The refined Disney's Yacht Club Resort, which is reminiscent of the New England yacht clubs of yesteryear, shares many of its recreational facilities with its adjacent companion property, Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The centerpiece of both resorts is the three-acre lakeside water park Stormalong Bay, which has water slides, a children’s pool, and a white-sand beach as well as seven spa tubs and two quiet pools. The resort also offers nightly bedtime stories, a game room, playground, and the Sandcastle Club, which provides on-site children’s activities (surcharge). The Ship Shape Health Club has exercise equipment and also offers massages and facials. And guests can rent pontoon boats, canopy boats, and Mercury WaterMouse boats at the marina (surcharge).
The resort has 73,000 square feet of flexible function space, three ballrooms, a business center, audio/video equipment and support, and event-catering services. High-speed Internet access is available as well (surcharge). In addition, the resort offers complimentary ferry service to Epcot® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios™, and complimentary, scheduled motorcoach transportation to other areas in Walt Disney World® Resort, including the two other theme parks, both water parks, and the Downtown Disney® area.
Disney’s Magical Express: Guests of this resort are eligible for complimentary Disney’s Magical Express service. Motorcoaches pick up guests at Orlando International Airport and drop off at Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels, while Disney staff members pick up bags and deliver them straight to guestrooms.

This Lake Buena Vista resort has 621 guestrooms, all with décor inspired by New England yacht clubs at the turn of the 20th century. Rooms have furnished balconies or patios with views of the resort’s parking area, garden, pool, or lake. Design details include headboards in the shape of a ship’s wheel and other nautical accents. All guestrooms provide tables and chairs, ceiling fans, coffeemakers, refrigerators, and minibars. High-speed Internet access is also available (surcharge). - Merge onto International Drive.
- Stay on International Drive to FL-536 W.
- Take FL-536 (turn right) and follow signs to Walt Disney World® Resort.
- FL-536 W becomes Epcot® Drive.
- Take the ramp toward Disney’s Hollywood Studios™/Epcot®/Wide World of Sports.

Getting there: Disney’s Magical Express: Guests of this resort are eligible for complimentary Disney’s Magical Express service. Motorcoaches pick up guests at Orlando International Airport and drop off at Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels, while Disney staff members pick up bags and deliver them straight to guestrooms.
Taxis to Disney's Yacht Club Resort are $45–$49 one way per trip. Fee is based on mileage, not number of passengers. Rental cars are another transportation option; reservations can be made online.
Getting around: From Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, guests can take a complimentary water launch (ferry) to Epcot® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios™. Scheduled (and complimentary) motorcoach transportation is available to all other areas in Walt Disney World® Resort, including the two other theme parks, both water parks, and the Downtown Disney® Area. Travelers who wish to avoid driving altogether should take a taxi or shuttle from the airport to the hotel, then use the complimentary transportation provided around the resort. Guests who wish to visit downtown Orlando or other points in the Orlando area will want to rent a car.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort shares its recreational facilities with its adjacent companion property, Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The centerpiece of both resorts is the three-acre water park Stormalong Bay, located on 25-acre Crescent Lake. Stormalong Bay includes water slides, seven spa tubs, two quiet pools, a children’s pool, and a white-sand beach. The resort also has a game room, playground, and the Sandcastle Club, which provides on-site supervised activities daily (surcharge). The Ship Shape Health Club has Nautilus and Hammer Strength exercise machines and free weights, a steam room, and a sauna; massages and facials are also available (surcharge for both). Pontoon boats, canopy boats, and Mercury WaterMouse boats are available for rent at the resort marina. Guests can also fish (catch and release); play tennis, croquet, or volleyball; and jog or walk along a 0.8-mile jogging trail that circles the lake.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and 36-hole Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course are both one mile from the resort via complimentary transportation. The resort’s guest services can assist with reservations at any one of Disney’s five tour-caliber golf courses, all located on Walt Disney World® Resort property. A nine-hole walking course is also available.
