Outdoor fun at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is focused on Doubloon Lagoon, a water playground with alligator fountains and a huge waterslide in the shape of a dragon, inspired by the famous Mardi Gras celebrations. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter offers 1,008 guestrooms in seven low-rise buildings. Buildings are bordered by gardens and cobblestone streets, and some offer views of the resort pool or the Sassagoula River.
Rooms inspired by Mardi Gras celebrations—or Carnivŕle, as the holiday is known in other countries—offer rich, blue color schemes, French-inspired paintings, and antique-style furnishings.
All rooms have tables and chairs, in-room safes, and cable TV with Disney channels.
Coffeemakers are provided. Bathrooms with shower/tub combinations provide hair dryers and dual vanity areas.

Getting around: Transportation at Walt Disney World® Resort is easy with regularly scheduled complimentary Disney transportation to all theme parks, water parks, and the Downtown Disney® Area. Guests can take complimentary motorcoach transportation from the resort and campground to all areas of Walt Disney World® Resort.
Travelers who wish to avoid driving altogether should take a taxi (approximately $19) or shuttle from the airport to the hotel, then use the complimentary transportation provided around the resort. Guests who wish to visit downtown Orlando or other points in the Orlando area will want to rent a car.

Complimentary ferryboats up the Sassagoula River transport guests to the Downtown Disney® Area.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and 36-hole Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course are both within two miles of the resort via complimentary transportation. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory - Huge icons reminiscent of Mardi Gras parades—including ice-cream cones, jester masks, and oversize beads—hang high above diners in this casual food court with a warehouse motif. Menu items include a choice of Creole or American dishes, and dining is self-serve in style. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.
Sassagoula Pizza Express - Pizza is available for room service during evening hours. Scat Cat’s Club - Located off the lobby, this jazz-themed club features cocktails, soft drinks, and specialty drinks.
