Hotel Information: Palm-shaded courtyards and Spanish-style haciendas set the tone at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The resort reflects the cultural influence of the Mexican and American Southwest areas, and the overall atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Lago Dorado, a 15-acre lake, acts as a centerpiece and includes a full marina. Registration and guest-services desks are set in an Aztec-styled lobby overlooking the lake.
Amenity highlights: The resort’s main pool includes a five-story Mayan temple with slides and cascading waterfalls, and three other pools offer quieter environments. The La Vida Health Club provides massage therapy as well as Cybex aerobic and exercise machines. And guests can rent bikes and kayaks at the on-site marina. Kid-friendly amenities include a children’s pool, arcades, and a large playground. All guests receive complimentary bus transportation throughout Walt Disney World® Resort.
Insider tip: With the hot Florida weather and lots of activities, working up a thirst is easy at the resort. A great tip for all vacationers, particularly those with children, is to purchase a resort mug for $7.95 (price is subject to change). Guests enjoy complimentary refills of their mugs during their entire stay. It’s a great way for travelers to quench their thirst and stretch their budgets.
Property Amenities
Centered around a 15-acre lake, this Mexican and Southwest American–themed resort at the Walt Disney World® Resort is close to Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Family-friendly amenities include a pool created like an archeological dig site, complete with waterslide, a five-story Mayan Temple, and cascading waterfalls. A 22-person spa tub is adjacent. The resort also has a marina with bicycle and boat rentals, three quiet pools, and a large playground.
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort guests can work out in the resort’s health club, which offers massage services in addition to exercise equipment, or receive skin and hair care, manicures, and pedicures at Casa de Belleza. The resort offers 95,000 square feet of meeting space and ballrooms. There is a business center on site and closed-circuit TV is available. This Lake Buena Vista resort features 1,951 guestrooms in three distinctly different accommodation areas—The Casitas, The Ranchos, and The Cabanas. The three lodging areas are built around a 15-acre lake, and each reflects a variation on the resort’s Mexican and American-Southwest style. Buildings are two- and three-story structures with elevator and stairs. Standard amenities include TVs, telephones with dial-up Internet access, coffeemakers, refrigerators, and wall safes. Taxis to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort are $46–$55 one way per trip. Fee is based on mileage, not number of passengers. Rental cars are another transportation option; reservations can be made online.
Getting around: Transportation at Walt Disney World® Resort is easy with complimentary motorcoach transportation to all theme parks, water parks, resorts, and the Downtown Disney® area. Travelers who wish to avoid driving altogether should take a taxi or shuttle from the airport to the hotel, then use the complimentary transportation provided around the resort. Guests who wish to visit downtown Orlando or other points in the Orlando area will want to rent a car.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort's main pool, themed as a large archeological-dig site, is built around a five-story Mayan temple called Pyramid of the Sun, and includes a slide and waterfalls that cascade into an outdoor splash pool. Three remaining pools are designated quiet pools. There’s also a 22-person spa tub. Pool towels are complimentary. The resort surrounds a 15-acre lake, and a nature trail weaves its way through the woodlands surrounding the resort. Bikes and watercraft are available at the marina. Children enjoy the large playground, separate children’s pool, and two video arcades. And a sand volleyball court is located on the lakefront beach. In addition, there is a full-service health club on site with Cybex aerobic and exercise machines, a sauna, and massage therapy.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is located within minutes (one mile) of the resort via complimentary shuttle to Walt Disney World® Resort. The resort’s guest service desk can also assist guests with reservations on any one of Disney’s five tour-caliber golf courses, all located on Walt Disney World® Resort property. A 9-hole walking course is available as well.

Maya Grill - Open for breakfast and dinner, the resort’s main restaurant features Latin American cuisine with an emphasis on meat and seafood dishes. Breakfast is offered buffet style and dinner is full-service.
Pepper Market - Multiple dining options are available here in a festive street-market atmosphere, with choices including Latin, American, Asian, and Italian cuisines. Also on site are a bakery, coffee bar, and ice-cream outlet. The Market is open for lunch and dinner.
Francisco’s - Signature margaritas, tequila and specialty drinks, and snacks are all offered in a friendly lounge atmosphere. Francisco’s is open from late afternoon to after midnight on weekdays, and from noon to after midnight on weekends.
Siesta’s - Located adjacent to the resort’s main pool, Siesta’s serves drinks and grilled menu items. The bar is open from noon to early evening every day.
In addition, limited menu and pizza delivery is available to all guestrooms at the resort.
