This 26-story Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square features 305 guestrooms, starting on the fifth floor. Rooms are soundproofed and offer views of the busy streets below.
Rooms, renovated December 2007, include 10-inch platform beds with Renaissance signature bedding: Thick mattress, separate pillowtop, down comforter (bedspread) with white cover, triple sheeting with 300-thread-count sheets, extra pillows, and a decorative throw and pillow sham. Redesigned work spaces include ergonomic chairs.
Rooms include three phones—two with speaker, dial-up, fax, and voice mail capabilities. All rooms offer 37-inch flat-panel HDTVs and high-speed Internet access (surcharge covers high-speed Internet access, local calls, and long-distance calls in the U.S.).
Bathrooms feature blue-glass mosaic tiles in showers, granite-topped vanities, vessel sinks, and speakers with adjustable volume. They also include phones, makeup/shaving mirrors, and Lather toiletries. Bathrobes and refrigerators are available upon request.

Driving directions from Newark: Follow signs to take US 1/US 9 north to I-95 (New Jersey Tpke) north (toll road). Take I-495 to the Lincoln Tunnel and exit to West Side Hwy/40th St. Turn right on W 42nd St, then turn left on 8th Ave. Turn right on W 48th St, and follow it to 7th Ave.
Getting there: Taxi fare is $26–35 from LaGuardia; more than $36 from JFK and Newark. Other transportation options, including express bus service and JFK's Air Train, are less expensive ($5–15) but do not go to individual hotels. A taxi or subway ride will complete the trip. The Bar - The intimate bar is marked by Art Deco detailing that echoes the style of nearby Rockefeller Center.
