Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island is part of Sandals Resort’s Signature Collection. Guests at Signature Collection resorts receive the following in addition to the standard All-Inclusive package (detailed on Rooms and Rates page):

Amenity highlights: The resort offers uncrowded swimming, soaking, and sunbathing space, including two enormous freeform pools with swim-up bars, many large soaking spas, and acres of light, fine-textured sand. One stretch of sand furnished with hammocks is terraced above a rocky shelf between the resort's two piers, with little private beaches at the shelf's ends and public Cable Beach running adjacent to the shelf. Sandals Cay, the resort's private island just a half-mile off shore, is accessible by complimentary shuttle-boat and includes a large pool, two beaches, and a restaurant. Three small, tropical-garden pools and sundecks provide tranquil sunbathing on padded lounge chairs.
Insider tip: Located just above the beach, a spa secluded from resort activities provides quiet, social soaking for 24 people with a full ocean view.
Property Amenities
Just off shore, guests have access to a private-island escape called Sandals Cay. Sandals Cay offers a fresh-water pool, swim-up pool bar, spa tub, and a Caribbean restaurant. An extension of the resort spa is available there, as well. A Zen Area is also offered amid the native vegetation on the eastern side of the island, where two massage huts are available and teak chaise lounges with umbrellas dot the beach. Ferries to the Cay run every hour on the hour.
On the main resort site, a health-and-beauty spa features complimentary facilities (see All-Inclusive details for more) plus services for extra costs, such as aromatherapy, reflexology, and seaweed body wraps.
Nightly game-show contests are held in the Royal Theater. Local bands perform music; staff and guests combine their singing, dancing, and acting skills in a special talent show.

This Bahama resort offers 405 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites in two six-story buildings, the Manor House and the Windsor Building, and 10 two-story villas located away from the beach amid lush, flowering, tropical gardens. Driving directions from Lynden Pindling International Airport: Turn right onto John F. Kennedy Dr. Turn left onto Blake Rd and continue to its end. Turn right onto West Bay St and continue along the water. Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island is on the left.
Getting there: The hotel offers shuttle service between the airport and the hotel.
Guests are asked to request the shuttle in the Special Requests box at time of booking. When indicating "Traveler and room preferences" during booking, click on the link that says: "I have a special request."
Taxi fare is $5–15 USD for the first two passengers and $3 USD for each additional person. Rental cars, Town Cars, and limousines are $36+ USD. Fees subject to change without notice.

Getting around: The easiest way to get around is either on foot or by public buses known as jitneys. The #10 bus comes by the front door and heads downtown for fares of less than $5 USD. Water taxis cross from behind the Straw Market in Nassau to Paradise Island, for return fares of $5–15 USD. Fees subject to change without notice. Water taxis and jitneys stop running at dusk. Motor scooters rent for $36+ USD per day and bicycles for $16–25 USD per day. Fees subject to change without notice. Driving British-style (on the left) along narrow streets and through roundabouts is daunting for most visitors so if going longer distances, taxis are best. Island-hopping is possible through Bahamas Ferries which runs catamarans to out islands including Eleuthera and Harbour Island from Potter’s Cay between the old and new Paradise Island bridges. Or visitors can travel as the locals do, on mailboats which leave for the out islands from Potter’s Cay or Prince George Wharf, but passage can run on “Bahamas time” (slowly) and cargo can include livestock. Return fares for both ferries and mailboats are +$36 USD. Fees subject to change without notice.

Among this Bahama resort's amenities are complimentary use of equipment and instructions for all activities and sports including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, Aquabikes, and snorkeling. Two lighted tennis courts plus basketball, volleyball, and chess areas are set up outdoors while indoors, activities include billiards and pool. The resort's activities staff conducts beach and pool "Olympics" competitions.
For additional fees, the resort's tour desk arranges dolphin encounters, sailboat cruises, and deep-sea fishing trips. Golf is not offered at the resort but is available at two nearby courses, Radisson Cable Beach Golf Course and South Ocean Golf Course. The tour desk can help arrange games.

A no-tipping policy applies at the resort only. A gratuity per piece of luggage is suggested for airport luggage handlers.
The hotel has a 100% cancellation, no show, and short stay penalty. Because unforeseen circumstances arise, travel insurance is strongly recommended.
All Sandals, Beaches, and Royal Plantation resorts are nonsmoking in any enclosed areas. Examples are bars, restaurants, lobbies, conference facilities, retail facilities, and nightclubs.
Smoking is permitted in all open areas and designated rooms.
Upon check-in, guests will be asked to tender a credit card to activate their room folio. All purchases (except those paid for with a credit card) at resort outlets will be signed to the room folio. Cash will not be accepted for incidental charges at any resort outlet.
If a credit card is unavailable, a cash deposit must be left at the front desk/concierge in order to activate the room folio. Travelers’ checks will be treated like cash and therefore can only be used at the front desk.
