Hotel Information: Welcoming singles, couples, and families, this resort is spacious enough to offer room for rest and relaxation plus plenty of opportunities for active vacations. At the resort’s heart is a seven-acre beachfront and waterscape section featuring tropical gardens, palm trees, expansive sundecks, swimming pools (including a zero-entry pool), and swim-up bar. Basketball, pool, and Ping-Pong can all be played and children have their own outdoor playground.
Amenity highlights: The Sheraton Cable Beach Resort fronts 305 meters (1,000 feet) of white-sand beach. Three pools and surrounding sundecks provide freshwater swimming and sunning alternatives to floating in the turquoise sea. One pool surrounds a rock-garden island featuring a waterfall grotto and a waterwall and includes shallow areas for toddlers and children plus a deeper area for older children and adults. An adjacent spa accommodates 12. A second large pool provides open swimming space. The third zero-entry pool is vast, meandering over three levels with waterfalls, rock rapids, coconut-grove promontories, and a grotto waterfall.

Getting there: The easiest way to the hotel for guests is by the hotel-provided shuttle. After leaving the terminal, guests can turn left to find the Majestic Tours representative who will arrange for transportation to the resort.
Otherwise, taxi fare is US$5–$15 for the first two passengers and US$3 for each additional person. Shuttle vans or private cars of varying prices are available. Rental cars, Town Cars, and limousines are US$36+. Prices are subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Taxis to downtown Nassau are US$5–$15. The #10 public bus comes by the front door and heads to downtown shopping and tourist sites for fares of less than US$5. Water taxis cross from behind the Straw Market in Nassau to Paradise Island, for return fares of US$5–$15. Water taxis and buses stop running at dusk. Scooters are also a popular way to tour and rent for US$36+. Prices are subject to change without notice. Driving British-style (on the left) along narrow streets and through roundabouts is daunting for most visitors so if going longer distances, taxis are best.
Island-hopping is possible through Bahamas Ferries which runs catamarans to out islands including Eleuthera and Harbour Island from Potter’s Cay between the old and new Paradise Island bridges. Or visitors can travel as the locals do, on mailboats which leave for the out islands from Potter’s Cay or Prince George Wharf, but passage can run on “Bahamas time” (slowly) and cargo can include livestock. Return fares for both ferries and mailboats are US$36+. Fares are subject to change without notice.

Activities
The Sheraton Cable Beach Resort includes a sports center across the street from the hotel that provides facilities available to all guests: three squash courts, three racquetball courts, and four tennis courts. The sports center also contains a complimentary fitness center equipped with cardio machines, weight-training machines, and free weights. Also available is the use (off the beach area) of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and sailboats.
This resort owns the 18-hole, par 71, 6453-yard course across the street at the Cable Beach Golf Club. The club also features a pro shop and a driving range which is also open at night.
