Hotel Information: Originally built in 1963 and later renovated, this large Miami resort has a tropical feel and caters to an international mix of vacationers, including families. The hotel’s stretch of beach is more private than that of most Miami Beach hotels. Located three miles from South Beach, this resort offers easy access to restaurants and nightlife, as well as a quiet spot to unwind.
Amenity highlights: The Miami Beach Resort and Spa includes a salon with spa services and a health club. Guests can rent boats and other equipment at the private dock. Getting there: Taxis, rental cars, and shuttle vans are the most common ways to get from the airport to Miami Beach hotels. Transportation options are available on the ground level of the airport terminal, outside the baggage claim area. Shuttles cost $5-$15 and taxis run $16-$25. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Walking is a popular way to navigate the Miami Beach area. The resort is 2 blocks from the boardwalk, 6 blocks from restaurants, and is adjacent to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Taxis provide an easy way to get around Miami Beach, and city buses (less than $5) stop in front of the resort.
Street parking in Miami Beach can sometimes be difficult to find. The resort provides valet parking (surcharge). Rental cars are available online.

The Miami Beach Resort & Spa is located between a white-sand Atlantic Ocean beach and the Intracoastal Waterway. Rental equipment at a private dock includes catamarans, personal watercraft, and scuba and snorkeling equipment. In addition, fishing charters and beach volleyball can be arranged (surcharges).
