Hotel Information: Guests arriving from all over the world are greeted warmly by resort staff. Visitors come for small-resort tranquility; world-class fishing, diving, and snorkeling; and the pleasures of village life on a Caribbean beach.
Amenity highlights: The Dolphin Discovery program in the large lagoon adjacent to the hotel's entrance offers shallow-water or scuba diving encounters with bottlenose dolphins.
Festooned with thatch-roof palapas for shade, and furnished with a volleyball net, the expansive, white-sand beach fronting the hotel is usually lapped by calm waters thanks to the coral reef just off shore. Beach waves are large enough to thrill children and, at times, accommodate boogie boarding.
A large, three-part pool on a spacious sundeck above the beach includes a children's section and a relaxation section furnished with tile lounges for cool, shallow-water sunbathing.
Insider tip: From the marina it's a 90-minute ferry ride to Cozumel, Mexico's largest island.
Property Amenities
Consisting of just 30 rooms in a single, three-story building, Omni Puerto Aventuras Beach Resort is a low-profile presence on a beautiful beach running along the turquoise Caribbean. Outside the lobby (newly renovated in September 2004) and beside the pool are an arcade containing a fitness center; a massage spa offering nail care; a water-sports center that arranges diving and snorkeling trips and rents kayaks, snorkel sets, and boogie boards; and a 9-foot-diameter hot tub. Like all major Mayan Riviera hotels, the Puerto Aventuras Beach Resort is equipped with a water-purification system.
Guests that have laptops with wireless network cards installed can receive complimentary wireless Internet access in the lobby, pool, restaurant, and beach areas of this resort.

Dining
La Veranda - Offering open-air dining, La Veranda features pink and white linens and serves ŕ la carte breakfasts and lunches. The menu includes Mexican and American fare in the mornings and salads, sandwiches, and seafood from afternoon to early evening.
El Xenote - This gourmet, Mayan-themed restaurant serves Yucatecan cuisine, prepared with fresh local ingredients. Serves dinner daily.
Pina Colada - This restaurant/bar serves Mexican-Caribbean fare and cocktails to those in, as well as out, of its freeform spa tub which can seat up to 42 people inside the bubbles area and 15 people outside of the bubbles area.
Lobby Bar - Cocktails and tropical drinks are available here nightly.

Driving directions from Cancún International Airport: From the Airport exit, take Hwy 307 south and continue on Tulum Chenonal Hwy 45 miles into Puerto Aventuras. Follow signs posted on the left into the Resort.
Playa del Carmen is about 50 miles south of Cancún. Authorized taxis, buses, and rental cars offer the most convenient ways to get from the Cancún International Airport to Playa del Carmen. Transportation options and ticket booths are found as soon as you exit the airport. Authorized group taxi to Playa de Carmen for 2 to 9 people: more than $60 USD. You can arrange for an authorized group taxi to Puerto Aventrua: more than $90 USD per trip for 2 to 9 people. There is a direct bus line to Playa del Carmen from Cancún International Airport: $5–$15 USD. Once you arrive at the bus station you can take a taxi to your hotel: less than $5 USD.
