Driving directions from Cancún International Airport:
- From the Airport exit, take Hwy 307 south for 30 miles.
- Once in Playa del Carmen take a left Constituyentes Ave and proceed to end of street.
- The resort will be on the right.
Getting there: Playa del Carmen is about 40 miles south of Cancún. Authorized taxis, buses, and rental cars offer the most convenient ways to get from the Cancún International Airport to Playa del Carmen. Transportation options and ticket booths are found as soon as you exit the airport. Authorized group taxis to Playa de Carmen are available for more than US$36 per group. There is a direct bus line to Playa del Carmen from Cancún International Airport for US$5–$15. Once you arrive at the bus station you can take a taxi to the resort for less than US$5. Rental cars can be picked up at the airport or at outlets in the city of Cancún and are available through this Web site (more than US$36). Prices subject to change without advanced notice.
Getting around: Gran Porto Real Resort & Spa All Inclusive is in the Riviera Maya, in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The hotel is near Fifth Avenue, a pedestrian walkway with shops, restaurants, and bars. Gran Porto Real is also relatively close to historic Mayan ruins along the coast. A rental car is recommended for guests interested in exploring because of the distances involved (more than US$36). Taxis can also be hired for blocks of time or for the day to tour the area (more than US$36). Set a fixed price with the driver before beginning your trip. The Gran Porto Real Resort & Spa is near ferry service to the island of Cozumel (US$5–15).
Activities
A freeform pool is home to a full slate of daily activities, from contests to water volleyball; it also has a shallow children's area. A second pool on the third-floor terrace has a swim-up bar and is designated as a quiet area for adults only.
