Hotel Information: From an open-air lobby with ocean views, a grand staircase leads past gardens toward pools, terraces, and Wailea’s beach walk with the ocean beyond. Occupying 22 acres, Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa draws families and other leisure travelers who appreciate the proximity to the famed golf courses, shops, and tennis courts of Wailea.
Amenity highlights: Connected by meandering pathways, the eight low-rise buildings of this breezy, oceanfront resort cradle a series of pools that include a children’s area with slides, three spa tubs, and terraced decks with an infinity pool and poolside restaurant. An Asian-inspired spa provides massage therapy (surcharge).
Insider tip: A little reef cove in front of Building Four is home to a population of Hawaiian green sea turtles, which are listed as an endangered species. While touching the animals is against federal law, guests can observe the turtles from a distance.

Set against Wailea’s hillside, Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is within a quarter-mile of the Shops at Wailea and 1.5 miles from the three championship courses of the Wailea Golf Club. The resort's activities desk can assist with golf tee times and appointments at Wailea’s Tennis Center.
Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa completed a $60 million renovation in January 2008. The Maui resort's new pool areas include three spa tubs, a children's section with water slides, and an infinity pool. The 10,000-square-foot Mandara Sap offers 11 treatment rooms, including an oceanview couples suite and an oceanfront cabana located on the ocean’s edge. The spa also offers a full-service salon with facilities for hair, make-up, and nail services. Adjacent is a 2,100-square-foot fitness center.
Island-style lunch and dinner are served at a poolside bar and grill, and a poolside snack bar offers smoothies and light fare.

Guestrooms feature Marriott’s Revive Collection bedding: 300-thread-count cotton linens with white-and-beige design; down comforter (bedspread) with cotton cover, freshly laundered for each guest; six down pillows, including bolster; and a separate mattress topper.
Air-conditioned rooms have modern decor and flat-screen TVs with premium channels. Bathrooms have bathrobes, slippers, and deep soaking tubs.

Driving directions from Kahului Airport:
- Follow Mokulele Hwy (311) south for approximately 8 miles.
- Turn left onto Piilani Hwy (31).
- After about 7 miles, turn right into Wailea Resort (Wailea Iki Drive).
- Turn right on Wailea Alanui. Wailea Beach Marriott will be on the immediate left.
Getting around: Stopping at the Shops at Wailea, the Maui Bus (less than $5) serves Kihei and Wailea during the day. Rental cars are recommended for travel to farther island destinations.

Getting there: Rental cars are the best option, and they are available online. Taxis cost approximately $55. Airport shuttles can be arranged and may cost less.

Two separate pool areas include a children’s area with water slides, three spa tubs, and terraced decks with an infinity pool. A fitness center provides free weights and cardio and strength-training equipment.
On adjacent Wailea Beach, an activities center rents snorkel and scuba sets, ocean kayaks, boogie boards, umbrellas, and other beach gear.
Within two miles of the resort are Wailea Golf Club's three 18-hole championship courses and the 11-court Wailea Tennis Center.

Chef Mark Ellman's menu features a selection of organic products, including fresh island seafood and hormone-free Kobe beef steaks or burgers. Open for breakfast and dinner daily. The lounge is open from 5 PM to 10 PM daily, offering an array of specialty cocktails, martinis, and Belgium and Hawaiian beers.
Kumu Bar & Grill - Located poolside on a tiled terrace. Serving island lunch with burgers, fish, salads, and sandwiches; alfresco dinner with seafood dishes; and cocktails and pupus.
Wailele Snackbar - Near the children’s pool slide. Offering smoothies and snacks from late morning to late afternoon.
