Hotel Information: For residential-style accommodations—with the recreation, spa, dining, and shopping of a luxury resort next door—golfers, families, and long-term visitors seek out this 1,600-acre resort on the beach in west Maui.
The condo-style villas do not have their own restaurant or lounge, but guests can charge meals, spa services, and shopping at the neighboring Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and Kapalua Bay Hotel to their room account.
Amenity highlights: The Kapalua Villas Maui Resort is situated on three white-sand beaches on Kapalua Bay. Two of its three golf courses were designed by Arnold Palmer, and the 10 tennis courts are lighted for complimentary play day or night.
Through adjacent hotels, guests can dine in more than a dozen restaurants; they also enjoy the spa services of the Ritz-Carlton for an additional fee.
A complimentary shuttle is available by request for transportation between all points on the resort and the West Maui Kapalua Airport.
Insider tip: Kapalua is home to ancient Honokahua burial grounds discovered during the construction of the Ritz-Carlton hotel adjacent to the Villas. In 1992, the resort's parent company also donated Pu'u Kukui, an 8,661-acre forest with rare and native plants and animals, to the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii. The resort's 1,600-acre grounds also include the Catholic Sacred Hearts Church and Kumulani Chapel for weddings.

Room Descriptions
The Kapalua Villas Maui resort features 280 privately owned oceanfront, ocean-view, or fairway-view villas with one, two, or three bedrooms. Condominiums spread throughout the resort have 6-8 units per building. Floor plans include townhouses or loft-style units with an upstairs bedroom, or one-level units. Sliding screen doors access lanais furnished with lounge chairs and table with chairs.
All units include living rooms with wet bars and full kitchens with dining tables and chairs. All units provide washers and dryers, along with TVs in bedrooms and living rooms. Complimentary high-speed Internet access, complimentary local and long-distance calls, and voice mail are among the additional amenities.
Full-sized sofa beds are available on request for one-bedroom villas, subject to availability. Air conditioning may also be requested, subject to availability.

- Exit the airport on Keolani Pl.
- Stay in the middle lane and continue onto Dairy Rd/Hwy 380, which becomes Kuihelani Rd/Hwy 380 at the intersection with Puunene Ave.
- Continue straight on Kuihelani Rd/Hwy 380 until the next traffic signal.
- Turn left onto Honoapiilani Hwy/Hwy 30 and continue north past Lahaina and Kaanapali.
- About five miles past Kaanapali, turn left onto Office Rd.
- The resort is on the right.
Getting there from West Maui Kapalua Airport: The hotel provides complimentary airport transportation upon request from early morning until late evening. Guests call for pickup from a courtesy phone at baggage claim. Taxis are also available for $5–$15. All fees subject to change without notice. Guests generally do not drive from this airport to the resort.
Getting there from Kahului Airport: Rental cars (available online) are the most popular option, especially since most visitors use one during their stay. Shuttles and taxis are also available, and both cost more than $36. All fees subject to change without notice. Advance reservations are required for shuttle service.
Getting around: A rental car is necessary for exploring Maui's attractions. For transportation between resort areas and to and from the West Maui Kapalua Airport, a complimentary shuttle is available by request from early morning until late evening.
Activities
Kapalua Bay and nine swimming pools throughout the resort offer guests a choice of aquatic diversions. The resort has three golf courses—two designed by Arnold Palmer, and one designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. The Kapalua Tennis Club has 10 acrylic latex-paved courts for complimentary play day or night.
The Kapalua Villas Activity Desk also can provide information about nature hikes and pineapple plantation tours. Neighboring shops offer complimentary lei-making and hula lessons; other classes offered at neighboring hotels are available for an extra charge.
Guests of The Kapalua Villas Maui receive access to the pool facilities of The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua across the street.
