Hotel Information: Flagstone pathways meander through an open-air atrium with palm trees, bromeliads, orchids, and Asian art. Peaceful koi ponds, sparkling waterfalls, and swinging rope bridges dot the lush tropical grounds, and the ocean beckons at the edge of the resort. Families, celebrating couples, conference attendees, and leisure travelers are among the guests who return here year after year.
Insider tip: Adjacent to the Hyatt, four canoe clubs gather daily (seasonally) on the beach to paddle at dawn and sunset, when waves permit.
Property Amenities
The Hyatt Regency Maui is arrayed on 40 tropical acres along the south end of Kaanapali Beach, at the end of the beach walk. Kaanapali’s famed golf courses are across from the resort.
Dining-and-refreshment choices include a seafood/sushi spot with waterfalls, the Grotto Bar with swim-up side, an intimate Italian restaurant, and open-air and ocean-view lounges. The Spats Nightclub opens every Saturday for dancing and DJ entertainment. Rooftop telescope stargazing is available nightly (surcharge).
Camp Hyatt Maui—open daily and nightly—welcomes children for activities such as tapa (bark) cloth making, rooftop stargazing, visiting a fire dancer at the luau, and hula dancing. (Programs change daily and are subject to change without notification. Reservations are required. Fees and late-cancellation fees apply.)
Indoor/outdoor meeting spaces total 150,000 square feet and include two ballrooms. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) throughout almost the entire resort complements a full-service business center.

Room Descriptions
The Hyatt Regency Maui offers a total of 806 guestrooms in three nine-story buildings: Atrium, Napili, and Lahaina. Sliding doors open to private, furnished lanai. All rooms feature the Hyatt Grand Bed with pillowtop mattress, five pillows, down comforter, and 250-thread-count sheets. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access are available for surcharges. Sophisticated island-style decor includes Hawaiian quilt wall hangings and bed runners, soft earth tones, and dark woods. All rooms provide cordless phones, safes (complimentary), walk-in closets, lightweight Japanese Yutaka robes, and marble-topped vanities. Kapalua West Maui Airport (JHM): Approximate driving time to Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa is 10 minutes, and distance is four miles.
Driving directions from Kapalua West Maui Airport: Turn left onto Hwy. 30. After about four miles, turn right onto Kaanapali Parkway, which is the main Kaanapali Resort entrance.
Kahului Airport (OGG): Approximate driving time to Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa is 45 minutes, and distance is 32 miles.
Driving directions from Kahului Airport:
- Drive southwest on Hwy. 380.
- After about eight miles, turn right onto Hwy. 30, which heads straight for Lahaina.
- After another three miles, turn left onto Kaanapali Parkway, which is the main Kaanapali Resort entrance.
Getting there: Rental cars, available online, are the best option from either airport. Taxis are approximately $14 from Kapalua, $60 from Kahului. Shuttle vans cost slightly less.
Getting around: A complimentary shuttle takes guests around the Kaanapali Resort and its golf courses. An hourly shuttle (surcharge) travels to Lahaina and Kapalua. Rental cars are recommended for exploring Maui’s many attractions.

Activities
Meandering through waterways and beneath a grotto, the half-acre pool features a 150-foot slide (adults only) and a children’s slide. The adjacent children’s pool measures 3,000 square feet and includes a beach-style entry and dancing fountains.
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa offers six tennis courts and the ocean-view Moana Athletic Club. Access to the athletic club and one hour of court time are included in the resort fee. An extensive daily activity schedule includes fitness classes; wildlife, art, or garden tours; lei making; and an adult astronomy program. Many activities are complimentary; others have surcharges.
Adjacent Kaanapali Beach offers swimming, snorkeling, catamaran rides, parasailing, kayaking, and other ocean play. Equipment and activities (surcharges) can be arranged through the resort. The Hyatt also offers its own 55-foot catamaran, Kiele V, for snorkeling and whale-watching cruises (surcharges).
The resort is across from Kaanapali’s two 18-hole championship golf courses.

Cascades Bar & Lounge - Open late afternoon through evening, this open-air, ocean-view lounge perches on the resort’s waterfall gardens and serves pupus and drinks.
Pavillion - Open-air terrace adjacent to south end of pool. TV near the bar. Open for lunch, including panini, sandwiches, salads.
Grotto Bar - Built in a cave that connects two sides of the pool, this swimup bar is a cool retreat for a cocktail or frozen smoothie.
Spats Nightclub - Open only on Saturdays, from late evening until early morning hours, with a DJ, cocktails, and dancing.
