This golf resort offers 375 guestrooms in a six-floor W-shaped building of a light-peach color. Balconies or patios provide views of the Sea of Cortez. Los Cabos International Airport (SJD): Approximate driving time to the Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort is 35 minutes and distance is 25.5 km (16 mi).
Driving directions from Los Cabos International Airport: Exit airport and turn right onto the Transpeninsular Highway (Hwy 1) through San José del Cabo. Proceed on highway toward Cabo San Lucas. The hotel is located in the Cabo Real development on the left near kilometer marker 19.5.
Getting there: Shuttle vans and private cars of varying prices are available. They can be reserved during the process of booking a reservation for this hotel, via this Web site, and added to the total trip cost.
Getting around: Shuttle service (surcharge) is offered eight times daily to downtown Cabo San Lucas and four times daily to San José del Cabo. Complimentary shuttle service to the Cabo Real golf course is available on request. Hotel staff summon taxis on request. Bicycles can be rented across the highway from the hotel.
Activities
Lined in a granite-like material, two serpentine-shaped pools provide year-round swimming. The activities pool measures 52 meters long (170 feet), includes a swim-up bar, and curls around a thatched-roof 12-person spa tub containing five jet settings. A "quiet" pool measures 61 meters long (200 feet) and also includes a swim-up bar. Adjacent is a 7.5-meter-diameter (25-foot) toddlers' pool.
Protected by a rocky point, a crescent, north-facing beach provides safe swimming in front of the resort, with personal watercraft rentals, kayaking, boogie boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, and banana-boating available (surcharges) from an independent operator. Thatched-roof palapas are ideal for snoozing shade on the beach. Safe swimming and water sports are also available at Médano Beach near downtown Cabo San Lucas 19 km (12 mi) away. Other safe swimming beaches nearby are Chileno Beach 5.5 km (3.5 mi), Santa Maria Beach 7.5 km (4.75 mi), and Palmilla Beach 7.5 km (4.75 mi) from the hotel.
The Cabo Real development features a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., with complimentary shuttle service provided by the golf club. The resort staff also books tee times at Los Cabos' other major courses: Palmilla Golf Course 6.75 km (4.25 mi); Cabo del Sol golf courses 9.25 km (5.75 mi); Raven Golf Club 18 km (11.25 mi).
