Insider tip: Overlooking the Sea of Cortez from high above, a round fire pit encircled by a tile bench provides a cozy setting for evening cocktails and after-dinner drinks and desserts. A large telescope nearby is free for guests’ use.

Driving directions from Los Cabos International Airport: Exit airport and turn right onto the Transpeninsular Highway (Hwy 1) through San Jose del Cabo. Proceed toward Cabo San Lucas. The resort is located on the left near KM marker 10.
Getting there: Taxis and shuttles are the most common forms of transportation from the airport.
Ground transportation:
Shuttle vans and private cars of varying prices are available. They can be reserved during the process of booking a reservation for this resort, via this Web site, and added to the total trip cost.
Getting around: Hotel staff can help with taxis or directing guests to a city bus that operates from near the hotel to both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas (surcharge).
Activities
Set in a gated development, the Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos offers 36 holes of golf, and the golf concierge can arrange preferential tee times and discounts. Also on site are a full-service spa, beach-side massage huts, two illuminated outdoor tennis courts with synthetic grass surfaces, five swimming pools, and three spa tubs.
Although generally rocky, the long beach features a rock-free area where guests can snorkel and swim. The fitness center is equipped with cardio and strength-training equipment.
From December to April, whales pass near enough to the hotel that guests can spot them from shore. For a better view, the resort's activities desk can help arrange whale-watching tours.
