Hotel Information: The Sahara opened in 1952 and was one of the first hotel casinos in Las Vegas. Getting there: The best way to get to the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel and Casino is an airport shuttle ($5-$15) or taxi ($16-$25). Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Travel up and down the Strip is quite easy. Guests can choose a city bus (less than $5), which runs the length of the Strip, or a private trolley (less than $5) that serves several of the larger hotels. Many guests choose to walk or take a taxi. Driving is also an option, as most casinos offer complimentary parking. For destinations outside the Strip, a rental car is the best choice. Rental cars are available online.
The Las Vegas Monorail ($5) operates along the Las Vegas resort corridor connecting major resort properties and the convention center. One station is the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. It takes less than 15 minutes to complete the entire run. Stations are: MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/Imperial, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton, and Sahara. The monorail operates from 7 AM to 2 AM on weekdays, 7 AM to 3 AM on weekends. Daily, multi-day, and multi-ride passes are available.

The hotel's fitness center, located on the 27th floor of the Tangiers Tower, features a variety of equipment, including two treadmills, two elliptical machines, two recumbant bikes, and a multi-purpose hydraulic weight unit. Each cardio machine is equipped with an individually remote-controlled 7-inch LCD TV monitor.
