Hotel Information: Monte Carlo Resort & Casino offers a Mediterranean-style atmosphere. Corinthian-inspired colonnades and arches set the scene outside, and a grand lobby glitters with crystal chandeliers.
Amenity highlights: Lance Burton's magic/comedy show features a flying Corvette, along with birds and dancers. The Monte Carlo’s French restaurant is an offshoot of an acclaimed fine-dining place in downtown Las Vegas. Diablo’s Mexican Cantina is a 13,000-square-foot hotspot set in front of Monte Carlo. A flowering garden with ponds, waterfalls, and surround sound encircles a large freeform pool, spa tub, wave pool, and 300-foot lazy river. Rental cabanas in the garden/pool complex are furnished with plasma TVs, compact refrigerators, ceiling fans, sofas, and lounge chairs.

This resort is located on Las Vegas Boulevard, the Strip, about a mile from Madame Tussauds Las Vegas.
The health spa offers men's and women's saunas, steam rooms, and hot and cool spa tubs. Treatments include the Champagne/Caviar Facial, Aroma Swedish Massage, and Silk Protein Hydrating Body Wrap. Use of spa facilities, including its fitness center, is available for a daily charge or is complimentary with a treatment.

Getting there: Taxis to Monte Carlo Resort & Casino cost $5–$15. Shuttle vans cost less but transport guests to various hotels in sequence rather than directly to a particular guest's hotel. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: From early morning to after midnight, the Las Vegas Monorail ($5 for one ride, $9 for two rides, $35 for 10 rides, $15 for one-day pass, $40 for three-day pass) makes seven stops along the resort corridor, including one a quarter-mile from this resort and another at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Las Vegas Strip Trolley ($2 for one ride, $5 for one-day pass) operates along The Strip and to the convention center from mid-morning to after midnight. Public buses operate along The Strip and to downtown Las Vegas. Taxis are available at the resort.

A surround sound system sets the mood in the tropical pool area that includes an 85-x-85-foot heated freeform pool, a wave pool, and a lazy river. Guests can reserve private cabanas, each with a flat-screen television, music player, phone, and refrigerator.
The golf concierge can reserve tee times at the Bali Hai, Desert Pines, and Royal Links golf clubs; in general, more than 20 golf courses are within driving distance of the resort.
