The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino houses a spa with fitness equipment, salon services, saunas, and steam rooms (surcharges apply). Another fitness and exercise option is the seasonal outdoor pool, known as "The Tank." It surrounds a live-shark tank with a waterslide that goes through the middle of the tank. A spa tub is on site.

Displayed in the hotel lobby is the Hand of Faith, an 875-troy-ounce (60-pound) gold nugget. Discovered in Australia in 1980, this enormous nugget was found with a metal detector just six inches below ground.

Rooms in the North Tower are convenient to the casino and the Fremont Street Experience. Rooms in the South Tower are located near the parking garage, conference center, The Tank pool/aquarium, and retails stores.
Thoughtful in-room touches include sitting areas or living rooms, TVs in armoires, separate marble vanity areas with lighted makeup/shaving mirrors, and semi-canopy beds.

Getting there: The best way to get to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is by airport shuttle ($5–$15) or taxi ($16–$25). Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: City buses (less than $5) or taxis ($5–$15) can take guests around downtown Las Vegas, and all along the Strip. A private trolley (less than $5) serves several of the larger hotels. Many guests choose to walk or take a taxi. Driving is also an option, as most casinos offer complimentary parking. For destinations outside the Strip, a rental car is the best choice. Rental cars are available online.
The Las Vegas Monorail ($5) operates along the Las Vegas resort corridor connecting major resort properties and the convention center. It takes less than 15 minutes to complete the entire run. Stations are: MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/Imperial, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton, and Sahara. The monorail operates from 7 AM to 2 AM on weekdays, 7 AM to 3 AM on weekends. Daily, multi-day, and multi-ride passes are available.
