Hotel Information: Three miles from Lihue Airport via complimentary shuttle, the 25-acre Hilton Kauai Beach Resort is set on a secluded beach within easy access of North and South Kauai. Lushly landscaped grounds include koi ponds, lagoons, waterfalls, and tropical gardens.
Amenity highlights: The central pool complex consists of three large freeform pools and a 90-foot “lava tube” waterslide surrounding a rock-garden island. A secluded nearby grotto houses two large spa tubs. Closer to the beach, a sandy-bottom freshwater pool offers ocean views. The resort's three-mile beach is a popular spot for exploring tide pools, beachcombing, and watching the Hawaiian monk seals that often rest on the sand.

Getting there: The Hilton offers complimentary airport shuttle service upon request from 5 AM–midnight (hours and availability subject to change); guests can call from the courtesy phone in baggage claim to arrange pick-up. Taxis cost $5–$15; price subject to change. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Complimentary shuttle service is offered to nearby golf courses upon request (availability subject to change). Taxis are convenient for short trips around the area. Cars are recommended for more extensive travel.
Activities
The Hilton Kauai Beach Resort is set on an isolated stretch of beach with an adjacent sunning lawn. Due to strong undertows, ocean swimming is not recommended. The resort's pool complex includes a sandy-beach lagoon pool, three freeform pools, a waterslide, and two large spa tubs in a secluded grotto. A fitness center provides free weights, cardio machines, and a sauna. A volleyball court is also on site.
Wailua Golf Course is a five-minute drive north. The Wailua River, about two miles north, is the longest navigable river in Hawaii and is popular for boating and kayaking trips.
