Hotel Information: Comprising a 29-story tower and two 11-story wings, the Sheraton is located on the former Ainahau Estate, once home to Princess Victoria Kaiulani. The hotel's spacious, Victorian-style lobby displays a portrait and photographs of the princess. This casual Honolulu hotel, across the street from the beach, is popular with families, business, and leisure travelers.

Amenity highlights: Five nights a week, a popular Polynesian dinner show (surcharge) features fire-knife dancers and a luau buffet. Other on-site dining options include a Japanese dinner restaurant, an indoor/outdoor buffet restaurant with nightly Hawaiian entertainment, and a food court. Located in the 29-story Ainahou Tower, the original 11-story Princess Wing, and the 11-story Kaiulani Wing, the Sheraton's 1,152 guestrooms have light island decor with Hawaiian-quilt-style bedspreads. Rooms are 299–348 square feet, including lanais.

Driving directions from Honolulu International Airport:

  • Take IH-1 eastbound.
  • Exit at Nimitz Hwy and follow the signs toward Waikiki.
  • Nimitz Hwy becomes Ala Moana Blvd.
  • Continue on Ala Moana Blvd until it merges with Kalakaua Ave.
  • Turn right onto Kalakaua Ave and stay to the right as the road splits.
  • Proceed to the hotel at the corner of Kalakaua Ave and Kaiulani Ave.


Getting there: Taxis ($35–$40) and shuttles ($10–$20) are available; shuttle reservations are strongly recommended. Car rentals are available online.

Getting around: The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is within a half-mile of shops, restaurants, and beaches, and walking is a popular way of exploring the area. The Waikiki Trolley sells day passes with service to downtown, Waikiki, and along the coast. Oahu’s bus system offers connections around the island with fees starting at $2 for a one-way ticket. For travel beyond Waikiki, cars are recommended.

The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani's oval-shaped outdoor splash pool is near an outdoor stage that hosts complimentary live Hawaiian entertainment nightly.

Important Information
