The hotel is located on Kuhio Avenue, a main thoroughfare for Honolulu's excellent public-bus line. - Take the H-1 Fwy heading east.
- Exit at Nimitz Hwy and follow the signs to Waikiki.
- Nimitz Hwy becomes Ala Moana Blvd, which merges with Kalakaua Ave.
- Once on Kalakaua Ave, stay in the far left lane, which becomes Kuhio Ave.
- Continue to the hotel on the right at the intersection with Uluniu St.
Getting there: Taxis ($26–$35) and shuttles ($5–$15) are available. For guests traveling lightly, public transportation is another option: Routes 19 and 20 travel from the airport to Waikiki for less than $5 and stop a block from the hotel. Rental cars are available online.
Getting around: Most guests walk to nearby shops, restaurants, and the beach. For longer trips, the city bus system provides excellent service. A single fare is less than $5, and a four-day pass costs $16–$25. Taxis are also available. For travel to attractions beyond the local area, rental cars or organized tours are recommended.

Surfboards, boogie boards, kayaks, ocean rafts, snorkel sets, umbrellas, and chairs can be rented on Waikiki Beach, three blocks away. Outrigger canoes and catamarans offer rides from the beach (surcharge). The oceanfront Kuhio Beach Park is a laid-back family destination with an expansive saltwater lagoon of calm, shallow water with a sand bottom. Beach volleyball, sheltered picnic tables, and a finger pier make the park popular with both visitors and locals.
