Driving directions from Honolulu International Airport:

  • Take IH-1 eastbound. Exit at Nimitz Hwy and follow the signs toward Waikiki.
  • Nimitz Hwy becomes Ala Moana Blvd. Continue on Ala Moana Blvd until it merges with Kalakaua Ave.
  • Turn right onto Kalakaua Ave and stay to the right as the road splits.
  • Turn left onto Kaiulani Ave.
  • Turn right onto Koa Ave (at King's Village).
  • Proceed to Uluniu Ave and turn right into the hotel's main entrance.


Getting there: Taxis ($35–$40) and shuttles ($10–$20) are available; shuttle reservations are strongly recommended. Car rentals are available online.

Getting around: The Hyatt Regency Waikiki is within a half-mile of shops, restaurants, beaches, and attractions, and walking is a popular way of exploring the area. The Waikiki Trolley sells day passes with service to downtown, Waikiki, and along the coast. Oahu’s bus system offers connections around the island with fees starting at $2 for a one-way ticket. For travel beyond Waikiki, cars are recommended.

The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa's 10,000-square-foot Na Hoola Spa (surcharge) has 19 treatment rooms, dry saunas, and a complimentary fitness center with cardio and strength-training equipment.

The large outdoor pool features ocean views, two spa tubs, and a bar with live Hawaiian entertainment at sunset.

Supervised children's activities are available seasonally in the Camp Hyatt program (surcharge).

Across the street, Kuhio Beach is a stretch of sand with a breakwater, creating calm swimming conditions. Rentals are available for water activities such as snorkeling, boogie boarding, catamaran sailing, and outrigger canoeing. A surfing school is also nearby.
