Hotel Information: Situated on 15 acres, this hotel is compact enough for families to easily get around, with the pool complex located close to both wings of the hotel. Adults can play golf or relax in the 165-square-foot heated infinity pool with spa tub.
Amenity highlights: The resort features Mandara Spa, which fronts the resort’s main swimming pool. The 5,750 square-foot spa offers seven single and double treatment suites along with men’s and women’s lounges complete with steam rooms. A hair salon and a fitness center are also featured.
From the pool complex that contains a water slide, children's sand-bottom wading-pool, and two spa tubs, it's a short, fascinating walk to the beach on Anaehoomalu Bay (A-Bay). Paths wind through rough lava rock, which contains petroglyphs, and bridges span the ponds for beach access.
Insider tip: The expansive beach is on calm Anaehoomalu Bay, shaded by coconut trees. Anaehoomalu means "protected mullet," a reference to the ancient fish ponds in which prized fish such as mullet would enter the ponds through screens, grow too large to return to the ocean, and be preserved for Hawaiian nobility. A beach-activities center rents out snorkel sets, kayaks, boogie boards, and pedal boats and arranges glass-bottom-boat, scuba-diving, and snorkeling excursions.

Room Descriptions
This beachfront resort offers 555 rooms in two, six-story wings. The air-conditioned rooms include lanais with garden, volcano, or ocean views. Rooms feature contemporary Polynesian and Asian décor. A dramatic Shoji-designed screen separates the bathroom vanity from the sleeping area creating an environment of beauty and simplicity.
Guestrooms feature Marriott’s Revive Collection bedding: 300-thread-count cotton linens with white-and-beige design; down comforter (bedspread) with cotton cover, freshly laundered for each guest; six down pillows, including bolster; and a separate mattress topper.
Room amenities include refrigerators, bathrobes, and in-room safes. Cable TV offers pay movies. Unlimited high-speed Internet access is included in the resort fee. Bathrooms include custom vanities and curved shower rods. Some rooms have sofa beds.

Driving directions from Keahole-Kona: Follow signs to take State Hwy 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Hwy) north for about 18 miles. Turn left on Waikoloa Beach Dr and continue about 0.6 mile. The hotel is on the left.
Getting there: A rental car is a good option from the airport, especially for guests who plan to rent a car anyway for sightseeing.
Getting around: The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service within the Waikoloa Resort area. For other destinations, a rental car is the best option.
