This six-story resort has 350 guestrooms, including 30 privately owned villas. Bathrooms have polished Jerusalem stone floors, double vanities, and built-in, teakwood furnishings. All have a private lanai furnished with a table, two chairs, and lounge chairs.

Driving directions from Keahole-Kona International Airport: Exit the airport and follow signs to take State Hwy 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Hwy) north for about 19 miles. Turn left on Mauna Lani Dr and continue about one mile to the hotel.
Getting there: The best option from the airport is a rental car, particularly since most guests will want a car anyway for sightseeing. Rental cars are available online.

Honu Bar - Sushi and cocktails are served from dinnertime until late night. Located just off the atrium lobby, the bar includes a pool table.
Bay Terrace - Breakfast is served daily in this open-air garden dining room with an ocean view. Mediterranean fare is offered for dinner, Thursdays through Mondays.
Beach Club - This open-air lunch restaurant overlooking Makaiwa Bay serves sandwiches, salads, and cocktails.
Gallery Restaurant and Knickers Bar - Located in the Francis H. I'i Brown Club House with golf course views, this restaurant is open for light lunch and pupus daily. Dinner Tuesday through Saturday includes pasta specialties and Hawaiian seafood.
Ocean Grill and Ocean Bar - Lunch and cocktails are served daily at this poolside ocean-view bar. Swimwear is acceptable attire.
The Atrium - Cocktails and pupus from the Honu Bar are served nightly in the open-air, blue-tiled atrium lobby filled with tropical plants and tropical fish ponds. Hawaiian music and hula are performed nightly.
