Insider tip: Daytona Lagoon, a waterpark in Daytona Beach at Ocean Walk Village (2.5 miles from the hotel), includes a 500,000-gallon wave pool, 10 waterslides, a lazy river, and an interactive water-play area. Driving directions from Daytona Beach International Airport: Go east on 92 to Atlantic Ave. Turn left (north) onto Atlantic Ave and proceed approximately 3-5 miles.
Getting there: Taxis to and from the airport cost $5–$15 one way. Car rentals are available online. All prices are subject to change.
Getting around: The La Playa Resort is steps from the beach. Bellair Plaza, with shops, restaurants, and department stores, is across the street. Votran, Volusia County’s public transportation system, provides bus service throughout the Daytona Beach area. From January through September, Votran operates a trolley along Florida’s coastal A-1-A highway (surcharge). Public parking garages are available in Daytona Beach (surcharge). Parking at the hotel is complimentary.
