Hotel Information: Playa Azul caters to families and couples with its warm Mexican hospitality. Shopping, dining, and nightlife are in plentiful supply just six km (four mi) south in the town center.
Amenity highlights: Deep and flat, the beach is furnished with lounge chairs for sunning and thatched-roof palapas for shade. The beach is interspersed with short rocky points, but two sections provide rock-free access to the turquoise Caribbean. The resort's medium-sized pool includes a shallow children's section. A spacious deck furnished with padded lounge chairs surrounds the pool. An on-site spa and dive shop were built in 2006.

Playa Azul is a family-run resort with just 50 guestrooms and suites. All rooms are air-conditioned, with balconies or terraces overlooking the white-sand beach and the Caribbean Sea. All rooms offer complimentary wireless Internet access.
Ocean-view rooms are located in a four-story wing (elevators). One-bedroom suites are located in a three-story wing (no elevators). Decor includes pale-yellow walls and ceilings and terracotta tile floors.
Cable TV, direct-dial phones, and coffeemakers are provided. Rooms also offer hair dryers, in-room safes, and complimentary bottled water. Rollaway beds are not available.

Driving directions from Cozumel International Airport: Exit airport and turn right onto Blvd International Airport towards downtown San Miguel de Cozumel. Turn right onto Rafael E Melgar Ave. Proceed north approximately 1.5 km (one mi), hotel will be on left.
Getting there: Rental cars and shuttle/car service are the most convenient ways to get from the airport to the downtown or hotel. Transportation options are available as you exit the airport.
