Getting there: Rental cars are not allowed by the government but a government-licensed shuttle service, Bee Line Transport, meets all flights. Trips to the Grotto Bay Beach Hotel can be arranged at the Bee Line desk outside the arrivals hall for $5–$15 per person round trip. (The Bermuda dollar is on par with the US dollar and US dollars are widely accepted.) Metered taxi fare is $5–$15. Fees subject to change without notice. Public buses pick up near the departures area but do not allow luggage on board.

Getting around: For shopping, dining, and entertainment choices beyond this property, guests usually travel to either Hamilton or St George’s. Bermuda does not allow visitors to rent cars, but it runs a convenient public bus service, popular with both residents and visitors alike. Pink buses stop in front of the hotel and can whisk passengers to St George’s in about 10 minutes and to downtown Hamilton in about 25 minutes. Single fares are less than $5 but a better deal is the bus pass (one-day: $5–$15; three-days: $16–$25) which is also good for ferry travel.
Public ferries leave from the terminal on Front St in Hamilton for Paget, Warwick, Dockyard, St George’s, Rockaway, and Somerset with most single fares less than $5. Fees subject to change without notice. Schedules vary according to season and day of the week. Bicycles can be rented ($5–$15 a day) although they are second in choice to more popular mopeds (more than $36 a day.) Driving is on the left side of the road. Horse-drawn carriages, a traditional travel mode in Bermuda, can be found next to the ferry terminal on Front St in Hamilton. Prices start in the $26–$35 range. Fees subject to change without notice. Activities
The resort includes four lighted tennis courts. Paddleboats, windsurfers, sailboats, and powerboats are available for rent, as are snorkeling and scuba diving gear.
