Hotel Information: This adults-only resort appeals primarily to couples seeking relaxing holidays in an open-air ambience. In keeping with its low-key approach, the resort does not offer group activities.
Amenity highlights: The resort's beach frontage stretches 125 yards wide and 50 yards deep, part of half-mile Turner's Beach on which there are no other resorts. For freshwater swimming there's a 32-by-20-foot pool. Use of snorkeling gear, sailboats, pedal boats, and windsurfers is part of the All Inclusive Plan. Independent vendors charge for water skiing, banana boating, glass-bottom-boat trips, and snorkeling and scuba-diving excursions.

Room walls are a darker turquoise and feature balconies or ground-floor terraces furnished with chairs and cocktail tables. Light-colored wood furniture and colorful fabrics contribute to the tropical ambience.

Driving directions from V.C. Bird International Airport: Narrow, twisting, unmarked roads make driving difficult on Antigua. Guests renting cars at the airport should ask rental agency personnel to draw a detailed map to the resort. Car rentals are available online. Driving is on the left side, British-style.
Getting there: A taxi-van from the airport to the resort costs $16–$25 for 1–4 passengers. (Rates are set by the government and subject to change.).

Activities
Blue Heron is the only resort located on Turner's Beach, a half-mile strand of nearly white sand that runs 50 yards deep in front of the resort and is furnished with thatched shades along a 125-yard-wide stretch. A vendor sells beachwear and souvenirs on the beach. For freshwater swimming there's a 32-by-20-foot pool fringed by green plants and flowers.
